Think back to one of the meals you ate today or yesterday. What were you doing while you were eating? Sitting at the computer, watching television or thumbing through a magazine? Do you remember what you ate, how much you ate or how it tasted? Our lives run at a fast pace that we often do small tasks while eating rather than giving your meal the attention it deserves.
The next time you sit down for a meal (which you are doing, right?), pay attention to your food and how it makes you feel.
Mindful eating can change your whole realationship with the food you eat as it will provide satisfaction. Take small bites
of food and put your fork down on your plate between bites. Let your nose smell the aromas of the food and listen for the sounds of the food as you chew.
Enjoy your meal, take the time to savor the flavor and you may find yourself becoming more satisfied with your meals.
