Beating the heat in the kitchen

-There's no reason to stay cooped up in a hot kitchen this summer.
Some simple ways to beat that kitchen heat include:

-USE YOUR SLOW COOKER
Prep your food in the morning (or the night before and put in the refrig if your
slow cooker has the removable inside) and start  your meal before you leave for work. Works great for
chicken w/ salsa, soups, pork chops, etc.

-QUICK COOKING OPTIONS
Buy chicken already cooked and sliced (freezer section of store) use on salads, taco's, etc.

-FIRE UP THE GRILL
Why use the oven when you can use the grill !!
Prepare foil packets with meat or fish and veggies inside, add a little seasoning and put on the grill
to cook.  Packets cook quickly and you have individual portions.

-OPEN A CAN
Are you stumped for ideas or tired of the same chicken dish?  Open a can of tuna and a can of white
beans..wrap the beans and the tuna in a roll up of your choice and you have a fast, high protein, low
PPV meal.

Take care and remember: Nothing tastes as good as thin feels !
See you at the meeting!
